SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER
GAVIN COMMUNICATIONS
Position Location: York, PA
Hours: Full-Time | 8:00 AM –5:00 PM
Scope: The Senior Account Manager is responsible for the successful management of client accounts, projects, and internal team outcomes. This role will oversee various marketing activities for client accounts, including integrated large- and small-scale projects including research, planning, implementation, campaign development and management of all marketing approaches and ongoing evaluation of performance to deliver comprehensive outcomes for our clients.

- Manages clients’ projects and client relations.
- Maintains direct, day-to-day, senior-level client contact.
- Creates complete and compelling proposals and SOWs.
- Communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure project scope is adhered to, on time and within budget.
- Leads all project-related client communications; provides timely feedback on deliverables.
- Build relationships with assigned clients.
- Works with clients to identify new marketing and communications opportunities at local, regional, and national levels.
- Campaign and plan development in collaboration with other agency departments, including budgeting and tactical planning across creative, digital, public relations and all other integrated approaches.
- Client project-specific copywriting, editing, and proofing.
- Coordinates account projects across departments, while also contributing to work output to execute client marketing plans
- Develops strategic campaigns and works with a creative department to leverage all forms of media under agency services, including strategy, creative, digital, media buying and public relations.
- Works with internal team members to receive client briefings, monthly reports on client outcomes and campaign performance through various reporting systems.
- Works in a proactive manner to provide client marketing plans with the greatest amount of added value through communication and marketing.
- Provides creative, production, media, public relations, and internal teams with well-documented input, support data, and productions materials as required; ensures that marketing and advertising strategies are clearly defined, approved by clients, and understood by the creative and media teams.
- Ensures technical and product representations are appropriate.
- Develops creative briefs, directs account team on strategy, and directs efforts to reach key performance indicators on the account.
- Presents to clients on a scheduled basis, including presenting new scopes of work, concepts, and account updates.
- Manages client scopes of work, analyzes client input, together with background knowledge, research, field feedback, etc., to produce full marketing and communications.
- Tracks account team budget and account tracking in accordance with agency processes to meet client budgets and outcomes.
- Oversees and directs the internal account team on assigned client projects to conduct necessary internal meetings and project flow, including scheduling of work and deadlines.
- Manage all client project updates, performance tracking and accountability.
- Stays in tune to relevant client industry news, events, and trends to successfully advise the client on market opportunities in support of their goals.
- Continuously works to upgrade knowledge and skills through available reading, courses, and seminars.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or marketing.
Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 5-7 years in account management
- Over 10+ years of experience developing marketing strategies
- Strong digital understanding and experience managing multi-platform integrated marketing campaigns reaching diverse audiences using digital and traditional media.
- Possess excellent critical thinking skills, superb attention to detail, masterful communications skills, and the ability to manage client budgets and deadlines while collaborating with a fully integrated account services team.
- Stellar public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to drive and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Proficient in MS office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. and demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent organizational skills

- Constantly operates a computer/laptop and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer printer and phone system.
- Needs to occasionally move around inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90 percent of the time.
- Talking; especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas to others. Will be required to have conversations by phone and in person with individuals and groups.
- Works for long periods on a computer.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
- May be required to lift to 10 pounds routinely and up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- The environment is considered to contain low/medium noise levels.
- The environment is not exposed to extreme changes in temperatures or weather conditions.
- Additional hours of work as dictated by the needs of the business.
