SIGN & GRAPHICS INSTALLER
CASKEY
Position Location: York, PA
Hours: Full-Time | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Scope: This position will be responsible for installing graphics at customer locations. This includes completing site assessments, taking measurements and drawings of work areas, recommending proper substrates for site conditions, communicating, and representing the company in a professional manner while on site, and ensuring jobs are completed to the company and customer expectations.
Essential Functions

- Train and build expertise in aspects of sign and graphics installation.
- Performs installations in adherence with work order specifications.
- Review work order specifications to ensure consistency before performing daily operations.
- Read and interpret job ticket information to determine the correct operations to be performed.
- Question conflicting, or missing information from job ticket, before beginning job.
- Performs quality assurance measures pre- and post-production.
- Prepares substrates for application, including cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining the substrates for vinyl application.
- Set up and operate print and/or bindery equipment according to job specifications.
- Performs finishing operations such as laminating, and/or mounting of printed pieces.
- Monitor quality, output, and productivity. Assures the quality of the finished product.
- Assists with packaging finished jobs and preparing them for transport and/or shipping, as needed.
- Works on different projects simultaneously.
- Helps load and unload raw materials and cleans and maintains storage areas.
- Loads and transports signage to destination.
- Prepares worksite by removing unwanted signage, preparing mounting surfaces, and ensuring all electrical sources are in order (if applicable to the assignment).
- Cleans installation site post installation.
- Operates several lift vehicles to load and unload materials.
- Establishes and maintains effective team relationships with all support departments.
- Maintains accurate records of time allocations, per job.
- Perform your job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.
- Perform preventative maintenance on bindery equipment, as scheduled.
- Ensure that all related equipment is in proper working condition.
- Identifies and troubleshoots equipment, as needed.
- Inspects equipment for safety issues.
- Performs routine maintenance according to production management schedule.
- Collectively with the team, maintains a safe work environment by keeping all aisles and walkways clear, work areas free of debris and potential hazards (for example, slippery floors, heavy loads, unguarded machinery, and hazardous substances).
- Follows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to, the proper handling of hazardous waste, lockout/tagout rules, and hearing, and eye protection policies.
- Supports all 5-S and lean initiatives, as required.
- Works additional time to complete work assignments, as needed.
- Maintain a high degree of motivation and morale, departmental, and inter-departmental cooperation.
- Reacts to change productively and handles other essential duties as assigned.
- Participates in and satisfactorily completes all required training programs for the assigned position.
- Demonstrates commitment to the FIRST Values of the organization through adherence to company policies.
- Accountable for administration of SOC 2 controls within area of responsibilities.
- Valid driver’s license and clear record.
- Travel may be required up to 75% of the time to perform installations of graphics at customer locations.
- Most travel will be day trips, but overnight stays will be needed as well.
- Other travel may also be needed to perform work at other company locations and attend company events, and or trainings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- An associate degree in print communications or related field or equivalent combination of vocational training and on-the-job experience, required.
Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 1-3 years related experience in print communication or related field. Knowledge of printing and installation specifications is beneficial.
- Experience with vehicle installations and or signage manufacturing (preferred).
- Light metal fabrication experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail with a high production and high-quality mindset, is required.
- High level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude is a must.
- Basic math skills required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Strong organization and time management skills required.
- Flexible team player.
- The ability to read, interpret, and follow job tickets and specifications, is a must.
- Ability to identify, document, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues.

- Demonstrates confidence. Effective presentation skills in live and remote virtual environments.
- Demonstrates a systematic approach in carrying out assignments to lead and keep project delivery on target.
- Manages multiple tasks at one time; quickly and accurately shifts attention among multiple tasks under distracting conditions without loss of accuracy or appearance of frustration.
- Able to use power tools.
- Proficient in MS Office products, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Physical Requirements:
Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- This is heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more and regularly lifts to 50 pounds.
- Interacting or helping with internal and external customers.
- The position will require the ability to speak, convey information clearly and effectively, hear, listen, and interpret information accurately, see, sit, bend, stand, stoop, push, pull, lift, lower, and grasp, as necessary.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

- This position may work in low and elevated temperatures, and outdoor elements such as precipitation, and wind.
