SENIOR ACCOUNT STRATEGIST

GAVIN COMMUNICATIONS

Position Location: York, PA/Hybrid/Remote

Hours: Full-Time | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Scope: The Senior Account Strategist takes ownership of research plans, strategy development, and execution outlines for a diverse portfolio of clients spanning retail, health and human services, and finance. This individual oversees all facets of omni-channel campaign planning, from inception to completion, and will be capable of independently crafting comprehensive marketing and communications plans. The Senior Account Strategist will have a deep understanding of both digital and traditional marketing, who excels at managing budgets to maximize return on investment for our clients.

Essential Functions

  • Actively manages omni-channel marketing efforts for clients, including but not limited to account management, and directing teams on marketing strategy, creative, digital services, public relations, and social content in conjunction with internal cross-function teams.
  • Works with clients to identify new marketing and communications opportunities at local, regional, and national levels.
  • Develops campaign plans in collaboration with other agency departments, including budgeting and tactical planning across creative, digital, and PR departments.
  • Owns the client relationship while showing the total house of talent on the account through complete delivery of outcomes.
  • Leads assigned accounts, inclusive of all account deliverables, contracts, budgets, and workloads to meet account objectives.
  • Communicates with clients and internal teams to ensure project scope is adhered to, on time and within budget.
  • Leads all project-related client communications; provides timely feedback on deliverables.
  • Builds relationships with clients in assigned industries.
  • Coordinates account projects across departments, while also contributing to creative output to execute client marketing plans.
  • Reviews and ensures quality controls and performance tracking on accounts, ensuring all client updates are delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Assists in providing client project specific copywriting, editing and proofing.
  • Works with cross-functional internal team members to retrieve monthly reports on client outcomes and campaign performance through various reporting systems and software for digital, project management reporting, budgets, and public relations.
  • Prepares team presentations and organizes materials, including assisting with presentations to clients and potential clients.
  • Develops creative briefs and provides creative and strategic direction to the creative, digital and PR teams in an effort to reach key performance indicators.
  • Presents to clients on a scheduled basis, including presenting new scopes of work, concepts, and account updates.
  • Manages client scopes of work, including scope development and project estimates.
  • Monitors cross-functional teams’ budgets and billables in accordance with agency processes to meet client budgets and outcomes.
  • Manages all client project updates, performance tracking, and accountability.
  • Stays in tune to client industry news, events, and trends to successfully advise the client on market opportunities in support of their goals.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and/or Communication fields, preferred.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience
  • Agency experience and proven track record leading accounts
  • Ability to manage monthly income projections, client budgets, and team sales forecasts.
  • Strong writing experience and communication skills across multi-media platforms
  • Proven track record in project management
  • Demonstrated ability to nurture client relationships.
  • Must possess the ability to be solution-oriented and work under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain organizational processes to meet.
  • Excellent organizational skills

Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Constantly operates a computer/laptop and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer printer, and phone system.
  • Needs to occasionally move around inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90 percent of the time.Talking; especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas to others.
  • Will be required to have conversations by phone and in person with individuals and groups.
  • Works for long periods on a computer.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
  • May be required to lift to 10 pounds routinely and up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • The environment is considered to contain low/medium noise levels.
  • The environment is not exposed to extreme changes in temperatures or weather conditions.
  • Additional hours of work as dictated by the needs of the business.
