ACCOUNT MANAGER
CONTENT LICENSING
Position Location: York, PA/Hybrid
Hours: Full-Time | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Scope: The Account Manager is an essential member of the Content Licensing Team, collaborating closely with the Director, Senior Account Manager, Marketing and Production Managers, and Account Executives. The Account Manager serves as the day-to-day contact to our publishing clients, keeping them apprised of paid and pending sales by running reports, managing client expectations, and coordinating marketing pieces. To ensure success in this role, the ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional multitasking ability, active listening, organizational and strategic communication skills, and be able to function in an ever-changing environment.
Essential Functions

- Start-up coordination with Pub Rep, VP, Director, SAM, Account Executives, and publisher clients.
- Will facilitate and attend publisher meetings, presentations, and in-person visits.
- Agenda creation and detailed meeting follow up notes.
- Coordinate assets, accolade lists and schedules between publisher client and internal team members.
- Provide monthly reports and forecasts.
- Responsible for publisher analysis as needed: sales history, AE sales activity, changes in published content, and in-depth account reviews.
- Develop marketing plans for key accounts in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
- Copy writing for marketing eblasts, sell sheets and other collateral as needed in collaboration with Marketing Manager.
- Communicate marketing needs with Marketing and Production Managers.
- Brainstorm with Pub Rep, VP, Director, and AEs on relevant accolade lists.
- Lead and participate in client sales strategy meetings.
- Determine products, pricing for assigned accounts based on sales history and budgets.
- Compliance monitoring for key publisher account
- Management of sales agreements – Review each sales agreement after it has been executed referencing established guidelines.
- With the Sales Account Coordinator, determine non-compliant occurrences and communicate with manufacturers, YGS, and publishing clients.
- Liaison between publishing clients and internal teams across YGS that touch client.
- Maintain and create Salesforce client dashboards.
- Manage Contracts – Including entering new publishers into Salesforce and uploading start up info into Salesforce and server and filing hard copies.
- Assist with research and project management including sales and marketing initiatives, and preparation for exhibitions at industry events.
- Assist as needed with new client proposals, RFP’s analyses, pitches, and presentations.
- Process/Invoice publisher orders.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects, as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field, preferred.
Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sales, account management, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM.
- Ability to multi-task – Manages multiple tasks at one time; quickly and accurately shifts attention among multiple tasks under distracting conditions without loss of accuracy or appearance of frustration.
- Communication skills – Strong writing ability with command of appropriate grammar, style, vocabulary, and proofreading ability.
- Organizational ability – Demonstrates a systematic approach in carrying out assignments to lead and keep project delivery on target.
- Problem solving skills – Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Translates problems into practical solutions.
- Client service skills – Consistently ensures the team provides the client with attentive, courteous, and informative service. Gains and shows personal satisfaction from delivering great service.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Physical Requirements:

- Constantly operates a computer/laptop and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer printer and phone system.
- Needs to occasionally move around inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90 percent of the time.Talking; especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas to others.
- Will be required to have conversations by phone and in person with individuals and groups.
- Works for long periods on a computer.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
- May be required to lift to 10 pounds routinely and up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- The environment is considered to contain low/medium noise levels.
- The environment is not exposed to extreme changes in temperatures or weather conditions.
- Additional hours of work as dictated by the needs of the business.
