MEDIA SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER

Position Location: Hybrid/York, PA

Hours: Full-Time |8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Scope: The Media Sales Account Manager is the primary liaison and point of contact for assigned media sales clients. Primary areas of responsibility include budget oversight, reporting, and client communication. The Media Sales Account Manager also works closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and spearhead the implementation of client-related marketing outreach. The Media Sales Account Manager is integral in building relationships and communicating with all internal and external stakeholders including clients, marketing, accounting, and YGS Corporate Sales. The position reports to the Director of Accounts.

Essential Functions

This position exists to perform the essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Point person for daily communication for each assigned account.
  2. New client onboarding.
  3. Custom report coordination with Clients, Marketing Services, and Accounting.
  4. Reporting and forecasting.
  5. Develop and maintain a schedule and format for regular conference calls and meetings with assigned client accounts.
  6. Develop agendas for client calls and meetings, and lead/manage discussions. Take and distribute call notes and monitor progress on open action items.
  7. Monitor budgets and performance versus budgets for all assigned accounts.
  8. Some market research and presentation preparation.
  9. Assist in developing custom marketing plans and media kits with Marketing Managers.
  10. Lead research and database maintenance to ensure contacts are up to date.
  11. Additional time is needed to meet the needs of the business.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or marketing preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency required.

Skills & Experience:

  • 1-3 years in a customer service or account management role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of print and digital advertising required. Working with professional/trade associations preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience working in a CRM, Salesforce preferred.
  • Knowledge of preflight and printing specifications preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational capabilities, are necessary.
  • Flexible team player who learns quickly, can work independently, have outstanding prioritization and time management skills, have a proven ability to multitask, and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain a fast pace and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
