MARKETING MANAGER

Publisher Solutions

Position Location: Hybrid or Remote

Hours: Full-Time | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Scope: The Marketing Manager plans, executes, and measures marketing efforts in support of annual publisher goals. This is a hands-on role combining strategic and tactical expertise to provide an integrated marketing approach. Responsible for leading and implementing strategic marketing initiatives to promote YGS Content Sales and Licensing products and services and drive licensing business for our Publisher clients.

Essential Functions

  1. Design strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and ensure that strategic plans complement marketplace needs.
  2. Develop and manage a plan to build brand awareness for the Publisher Solution business
  3. Create engaging and informative content for the website, blog, social media, and any other content marketing channels that the business might leverage.
  4. To support business development opportunities, and maintain current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products, and competitors.
  5. Work closely with other YGS departments to identify potential new products and services that may increase penetration into new markets.
  6. Lead trade show process and monitor other opportunities and special offers.
  7. Keep management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns.
  8. Analyze licensing programs and adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness
  9. Assist in the development of strategies to grow revenues and help “troubled accounts”
  10. Attend internal and client meetings where marketing expertise would be helpful
  11. Work with VP CS&L on new business pitches
  12. Complies with the policies of the organization.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or a closely related field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience, is required.
  •  

Skills & Experience:

  • Skilled in delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Experience with Marketing cloud and how to best leverage it within the business.
  • Experience with Salesforce (CRM) and how to best leverage it from a marketing standpoint.
  • Ability to identify, document, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues.
  • Able to put in extra hours as needed or requested by the manager.
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in graphic design platforms such as Adobe, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Experience using marketing automation platforms. Working knowledge of HTML code and the ability to troubleshoot display errors.
  • Experience using survey platforms, such as Survey Monkey.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, is a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90 percent of the time with the balance of time required interacting or helping with internal and external customers.
  • Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Occasionally move about inside the facility to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Regularly move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
