FULFILLMENT SPECIALIST

Position Location: York, PA

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Scope: The YGS Group is a privately held commercial printing and marketing services company located in York PA. Will perform fulfillment processing activities defined below according to the rules and policies established by YGS.

Essential Functions

This position exists to perform the essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  1. Perform proper shift start-up and shut-down procedures, including verifying necessary supplies are available for scheduled work assignments. Alerts the Manager to any supply deficiencies.
  2. Verify job components against job tickets confirming key information and indicators.
  3. Performing pre-assembly duties as needed, which may include procuring inventory supplies, cutting boxes, and opening and stocking of work lines.
  4. Participate in fulfillment and hand assembly functions (pick and pack orders) as dictated by the production schedule and job ticket, while maintaining strict quality control standards.
  5. Knowledge of the system and our internal processes as it relates to order fulfillment. Ensure all orders are timely and accurately processed into the system.
  6. Complete and verify all necessary paperwork for an appropriate job ticket.
  7. Maintain inventory standards; ensure fulfillment inventory items (pulls and replenishments) are being properly stored, or staged, tagged, and recorded.
  8. Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, counting skids, inventory transactions, communicating with customers, etc.
  9. Maintains a safe and clean work environment, notifying the management of unsafe practices, conditions, or acts.
  10. Keep the fulfillment area clean and organized.
  11. Performs additional duties, as assigned.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalency, is required.
  • Associated degree in Fulfillment, Logistics, or related field, preferred.
  • Computer and operating systems literacy is required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Prior experience in a fulfillment center or warehouse operations, specifically within a commercial print/production workflow environment, is preferred.
  • Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions, understand process flow, schedules and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to read work documents and manage production schedules.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations; determine inventory counts and reporting of adjustments.
  • Able to operate warehouse equipment, including carts, dollies, hand trucks, forklifts, and other moving equipment to move large quantities of product. Special training will be offered to learn the proper use of this equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required.

  • Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds regularly and 75 pounds, periodically; with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to stand and /or walk for the entire shift.
  • Stooping; bending downward and forward at the waist. Requires full use of lower extremities and back muscles.
  • Kneeling; resting on knee or knees.
  • Crouching; bending downward and forward at the leg and spine.
  • Reaching; extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Pushing; using the upper body to press against something with steady force.
  • Pulling; using the upper body to draw, or drag something.
  • Finger Dexterity: using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
  • Grasping; using fingers and palm on object.
  • Feeling; perceiving sensual characteristics of objects including size, shape texture temperature, etc., through touch.
  • Talking; especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas to others.
  • Repetitive Motion: movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Average Hearing: able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
  • Average Visual Abilities: average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
  • Ability to run, maneuver, navigate, or drive equipment such as forklifts and vehicles, valid.
  • Driver’s License, and satisfactory MVR.
