SALES & MARKETING MANAGER
This position requires a results-oriented and highly enthused individual to take ownership of the sales development efforts for existing YGS customers and the research, marketing and solicitation of new YGS customers. This role requires the project management, internal staff coordination and implementation for all marketing-related projects for each of the solutions groups (Production, Association & Publisher and Agency). This is a hands-on role that combines sales and marketing administration, project management, production support and design, along with strategic and project planning and budget oversight to ensure an integrated sales and marketing approach that is timely and cost-effective.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or media management, business administration or related field is preferred. High school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of related experience in the sales and marketing field for an advertising agency and/or commercial printer. Knowledge of principles, practices and functions of effective strategic marketing campaigns to drive retention and build and maintain corporate brand awareness required. Experienced in social media management, project management, production and reporting related to corporate sales and marketing efforts for multiple and concurrent projects. Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proficient with email marketing, templates, coding and editing. Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and digital publications. Prior experience with Mac operating system and CRM systems required. Experience in Google data analytics, metrics and reporting required. Basic knowledge of CMS, HTML, CSS and content formatting preferred. Understanding of the industry, the business and the competitive environment within which the organization operates. Individual will act with personal, professional and behavioral integrity to manage interactions, provide service and to support the organization. Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communications, and relationship-building skills required. Flexible team player who learns quickly and can work both independently and within a team. Outstanding prioritization and time management skills and a proven ability to multi-task. Driven, able to maintain a fast pace and work with a sense of urgency.
This is approximately an 80 percent sedentary role with the balance of time requiring interacting or helping with internal and external customers and various administrative duties. The position will require the ability to speak, hear, see, sit, bend, stand, stoop, push, pull, lift, lower and grasp as necessary. Ability to lift 10 pounds regularly and 20 pounds on occasion. Attend staff, client and vendor meetings as required. Travel as required to attend client meetings, tradeshows, conferences and other industry events. Standard operation hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 40 hours per week; additional time as needed to meet the demands of the business. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
